Christmas Pals- Christmas Card Range 2015

Before Christmas last year I designed a small range of Christmas cards using a dusky purple, grey colour palette with hints of mint green and rose gold.
I try to design my Christmas cards every year for friends and family.

I wanted to develop my Character styles/drawing skills and to create a cute, handmade look with
texture and not to overload with finishes.

My Laser Cuts Have Arrived :)

Finally after a few weeks of waiting my laser cut card designs have finally arrived!
I am very pleased with the quality of the finish and cant wait to add my finishing touches to them!

Commercial Gift Wraps- Seen In The Shops!

At the weekend I came across some gift wrap designs I created, this is one of my favourite as I all photographs were taken by myself which is very pleasing when seeing them in the stores.

My Laser Cut greeting cards

Just a sneaky preview of some of my latest laser cut designs before sending them off to be laser cut, all cards we inspired by my new home. Its very exciting to see my samples as a laser cut and I am looking forward to adding my finishing touches!

Sock it to Me

                                      
Sock It To Me is a funky cute sock company that provides socks all over the world! Every year they host a Sock It to Me Design competition getting people of all ages being creative!
I gave it a go and designed some very random socks! All designs are from my own drawings then scanned into the computer, using Illustrator to simplify my design.

A Great British Summer

ditsy fun

I wanted a few co-ordinates to go with my fabric length to show what my designs would look like alongside another pattern. My ditsys are kept very simple drawing straight into Illustrator to create my prints.

Rug Photoshoot

My rug is now complete and ready for my degree show next week,  i hope you like my rug design just as much as i do as i feel it has brought something new and exciting to the children's market.

50's cocktail chair

As part of my Botanical project i have covered a retro cocktail chair in my fabric colour way, i wanted a 50's look as my design was inspired from 50's garments and prints.

I hope you like my new blog design taken from Botanical Candy a project i have just completed during my last few weeks at university. I am very proud of what i have achieved during this project using the multi- colour screen printing technique as well as covering my retro 50's chair with my fabric

Wedgwood Mushroom Valley

This week i have been working on a children's project for a summer fair at Wedgwood this May, i am hoping to create some handmade dresses and tea towels with my designs. Here are just a few images in the workshop mixing colours to start my screen print!

Botanical Candy

My next project is based on 50's retro prints, i am going to create a couple of fabric lengths and hoping to cover my 50's cocktail chair which i am really excited about!
I found lots of inspiration at the V&A gallery shop with lots of old vintage prints full of roses and daises!

Scarf Design for Selvedge magazine.

I was given the fantastic opportunity to create a scarf design reflecting my experience at Staffordshire University using traditional techniques.
I decided to take my colour palette from Selvedge using dusty reds, creams and olive greens. I hand painted my design then screen printed over the top to create an offset effect which i really like.
I hope all designs are featured in Selvedge to represent Stafforshire University for New Designers.
